Christian Maturity: A Requirement for the Glorious Life In Christ – Pastor Chris

dsc_1003As the glorious IPPC conference increased in glory through the sharing and impartation of revelation and knowledge in highly inspiring teaching segments during the Monday evening session, the President of the Believers Loveworld Nation, Reverend Chris Oyakhilome took the delegates on a journey to greater and higher glory.

Sharing from the scriptures, he threw more light on the essence of Christianity and why Jesus came. He emphasised that Jesus came to enable man live the God-life in its fullness, lacking nothing. He zeroed in on this point as he took a detailed study from the book of Colossians chapter 1 verses 9 to 29. He reiterated the fact that as Christians, we are supposed to be mature, living excellent and distinguished lives, giving no place to the devil through our confessions and attitude to life.

Pastor Chris also reminded the congregation that the devil is a defeated foe and as such has no right over a child of God except a Christian gives room to the devil. Pastor then sounded a strong warning to all the delegates that no Pastor should take a break from faith, from the Holy Spirit or from the word of God because it could have very serious consequences that could even lead to death.

“In Christianity, don’t take a holiday from the faith life. Don’t be careless and make nasty statements that grieve the Holy Spirit and angels. Don’t be a nepios. Don’t take a break from the Holy Spirit or from faith. Don’t open doors to Satan to come in. Don’t allow foolish talks…”

According to Pastor Chris, the church has been purchased by the blood of Jesus and fully paid for. No Christian should therefore live an ordinary life with the wrong mentality, foolish talking and jesting, but should function in Christian Maturity, where according to Ephesians 1:3, ‘we have been blessed with all spiritual blessings in Christ’. He also restated the fact as the Bible declares in Ephesians chapter 4 verses 11 and 12 that God gave the ministry gifts of Apostles, Prophet, Pastors, Evangelists and Teachers for the perfecting of the saints….till the church comes into the unity of the faith unto a perfect man in Christ Jesus.

The teaching session by Pastor Chris demonstrated the fact that Christian Maturity is a strong requirement for the glorious life of constant victories and excellence that God has called us into. Discover these eternal verities and function accordingly.

It was indeed a glorious time of revelation and knowledge where the church was admonished to walk and live out the fullness of the life of Christ, lacking and wanting nothing.
