With the Wednesday evening session of the Pastors Conference, Reverend Tom Amenkhienan, Director, World Evangelism Mobilization handled a super session where he charged Pastors on Kingdom expansion. Just like King David in the old testament, 2 Samuel 8:2-6, who set up garrisons in several cities around Israel after defeating them. He admonished all Pastors to set up spiritual garrisons through their Cells, Outreach centres and Churches, in different locations around the world.
Explaining a garrison as a military base that features all the characteristics of the mother nation, taking instructions from the mother nation, he reminded all participants that they are ambassadors and mighty men here on earth and in their catchments, and must act likewise.
Reverend Tom explained what a mentality is, as defined by Pastor Chris, as a fixed mental attitude or disposition in relation to the work of the kingdom. In line with having the right mental attitude, Reverend Tom also admonished the Pastors on key considerations for the minister which should include:
- Consciousness of the times that we are in.
- Consciousness of the mandate.
- Consciousness of the war.
- Consciousness of the urgency. Don’t be tied down with anything.
- Consciousness of your identity and purpose. You are the bearer and manifestation of the kingdom where you are.
- Having a focus to raise others for our the kingdom.
More points he explained include:
- Nurture and increase the expansion of your vision.
- Have a global focus and outlook.
- Consciously seize territories.
With these key points, Reverend Tom, challenged all Pastors and Ministers in the Conference to sieze more territories for the kingdom, and go for more in the ministry’s global agenda of spreading the gospel around the world.
