Classic songs of praise and worship, special individual renditions and group dance presentations from the Loveworld Music and Arts Ministry, LMAM, resonated the atmosphere at the 2023 Loveworld International Music and Arts Award, LIMA. The event that held on Sunday November 19 from Asese, was indeed a beautiful sight to behold.

From TB 1 to Tru South, the ministry’s rappers took the stage with songs like “Bullet Proof”, “One More”, among several others that were presented with high levels of participation from the audience. More performances from Israel Strong on “Never Never Let Jesus Grow Old”, and different dance groups followed at intervals.

As the Awards kicked off, the President of the Ministry appreciated all members of the Loveworld Music and Arts Ministry, LMAM, specially. In his words, “I thank God for the gift of these singers He has given us. I appreciate the Instrumentalists, the Sound guys and every member of the Loveworld Arts Ministry. Indeed, God has graciously given us the right people”.

The Awards were announced with high expectations and resounding shouts of appreciation from the delegates. The Theme Song of the year, which was “The Great physician”, was won by Sylvia. Music Outreach Group of the year was won by Tru South and the Activist Group. Most outstanding Music Group of the year was the Loveworld Music Academy Singers, among several nominations that followed each category.

Other categories like the best short film of the year won by “The Brink”, produced by Christ Embassy Amsterdam, best feature film of the year won by ,”All or Nothing”, produced by the Loveworld Television Ministry, Choir of the year won by Christ Embassy Accra Ghana Choir, Choir Conductor of the year won by Korede, Instrumentalist of the year, won by Unoji Victor, Senior Music Coordinator of the year, won by PU, LMAM Music Instructor of the year, won by Isaiah Samson, were also awarded.

More music awards like duet of the year won by Pastor Saki and Rita Soul, best Choral Song of the year, Medley of the year, Hit song of the year, best male vocalist of the year won by Korede, best female vocalist won by Oge, continued to fill the atmosphere with shouts of joy and excitement.

Sylvia Rich, Pastor Saki, Eli J, the LMAM Sound team and Deaconess Sophia Ariba were given special Commendation Awards for their contributions to the development of the Loveworld music ministry.

Best songs were recognised in the Salvation songs category, Healing songs category, Christmas songs category, Worship songs category and best Inspirational Praise songs category. This was as Artiste of the year was won by Oge, Song Writer of the year by Evangelist Kathy Woghiren, Worship Song of the year was “You seat above the Cherubims” led by Maya, while the biggest of them all, was the Song of the year Award, that was won by “We Hail From Deity” written by Evangelist Kathy Woghiren, and led by Oge.

It was indeed a night of so much pleasant surprises at the 2023 LIMA Awards. The Awards ceremony showcased a unique display of talent, creativity and grace at work. The Awards have set the stage for a more promising year 2024, as delegates look forward to more inspiring times of rejoicing and praise in God’s kingdom.
