President of the LoveWorld Incorporated, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome  has asked Pastors and Christian Leaders to always keep in focus the importance of their responsibility of this hour – to reach the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Pastor Chris said this while welcoming Pastor-delegates to the International Pastors and Partners Conference (IPPC), which took place at the Church’s International Headquarters at Aseese Village, Ogun State.

Quoting from the book of  Acts 6:2 “Then the twelve summoned the multitude of the disciples and said, “It is not desirable that we should leave the word of God and serve tables. And in  Acts 6:3 “Therefore, brethren, seek out from among you seven men of good reputation, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business” and in  Acts 6:4 “but we will give ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the word.”

Pastor admonished that we should give ourselves to the ministry of the word and prayer so that we would be able to be effective and function well.
Citing examples with Jesus, Pastor said that “Jesus gave himself more to the ministry of prayer as the multitude increased, adding that the term ‘the ministry of the word,’ means preaching the word”.

Elucidating on the subject, Pastor Chris said that when he heard the word, the word ministers to him and when he studied the word, the word ministers to him also.
The word ministers to you, according to him, means that the word educates you. “If you don’t take charge from the spirit, you will be living another man’s life or as it is in prayer, you get the word for the now.”

Quoting the book of 1Timothy 3:15 “but if I am delayed, I write so that you may know how you ought to conduct yourself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth”.

The Man of God Pastor Chris noted that the church is kingdom of Christ on earth and that there are ways we should comport ourselves.
The word, he added, gives us a culture, tells us the life to live, when we win the people, we bring them to the house of God and educate them, God will never accept the service of him from your human culture.

He added that as long as we are in the world…we are the light of the world. And we know that we will not always be in this world. Admonishing that we develop clear eyed, sharpness of vision, because the whole body sees through the eye.
As the light of the world, the world cannot see without you, he highlighted.
“You’re the one to see for the world, to watch for them, and even more so, when you’re a pastor.

On the importance of being a pastor, and the responsibility of being a minister of God, he said that “The porter is not part of the house. He’s the janitor who stands at the gate. These are the pastors. Being a pastor is a weighty responsibility. Your real definition of success is in God’s score card,” he added.

The eye is the light of the body and we are the eyes of the world, I am the one to watch and see for the world. As a pastor you must do what the Lord asked you to do, when to do it, and how to do it, according to specification.

He however warned that one can lose his or her salvation if we do not continue in the faith.  So if the eyes is the light of the body and you’re the light of the world, then you’re the eyes of the world, the world doesn’t know what to do, they can’t see.
“You’re the one to see, to watch, to help them, even moreso when you’re a leader. This is a huge responsibility, he said.

You’re not a pastor to make money out of it, but it comes with responsibilities.
You must understand the responsibility of the moment.
The Kingdom of heaven operates on earth and is headed by Jesus and to enter into that Kingdom, you must be born again.

Concluding, Pastor Chris admonished that: “There’s a purpose to live for, there’s a life to live, There’s a kingdom delivered to us.”
